Looking for a transformative PD experience for next school year? Consider joining Math Rocks! In this course you'll have the opportunity to build relationships around mathematics with other educators in (and out of!) RRISD. You'll also foster your own and your students' curiosity about mathematics as you learn about rich and engaging instructional practices to try out in your classroom. Attendance requirements include 2 full days during the summer, then 8 additional sessions after school. The required after- school sessions will be: 9/4, 9/18, 10/2, 10/23, 11/13, 12/4, 1/15, 1/29 final celebration Feb 12
In this course, we will learn strategies and try out tasks to use in our classrooms, complete a book study, and use technology to reflect and collaborate.
