Tired of just hanging frilly decorations on your classroom walls? Why not create usable, colorful anchor charts that bring your lesson to life and also serve as reference for your students? Join in this hands-on session where you will be able to make and take anchor charts for your classroom walls and also walk away with ideas of anchor charts you can create with your own students. Materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own paper and any anchor charts ideas that have worked well for you in the classroom. Don't forget to bring a poster board storage box to carry your masterpieces home.

Literacy is critical in successful language acquisition. This session will briefly rpesent relevant research related to literacy and language gains in the World Language classroom, then connect the research with interactive opportunity for creating effective and efficient input and output strategies that promote literacy in L2 via reading activities.

Since Proficiency is the name of the game, performance is the key! This session will focus on the use of Integrated Performance Assessments (IPA) in the World Language Classroom. Participants will have the opportunity to develop performance-based activities as part of an IPA to build proficiency across all three modes communication: Interpretive, Interpersonal, and Presentational.
